AREA: 2100 Copenhagen
ABOUT ME:
Are you caring, independent, and looking for a meaningful job with human connection and variety? Then this position might be just right for you.
A 32-hour position as my personal assistant will become available in January. I kindly ask that you do not apply via Facebook – instead, please send your application and CV (preferably with a photo) to bpa.astrid@gmail.com. Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis.
A driver’s license is required.
I’m a 26-year-old cheerful woman living in a two-room apartment with my cat near Vibenshus Runddel. I study at university and have cerebral palsy (CP). I always try to focus on possibilities rather than limitations. I have a lot of energy and consider myself honest and patient. I enjoy being active but also appreciate calm days.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be my companion in everyday life, supporting me wherever I am – at home, at university, and when I’m out and about. Your main tasks will be to act as my arms and legs, assisting me with everything from personal care to household chores and activities outside the home. As my assistant, you will play a central role in my daily life, and your presence is essential for everything to run smoothly. Due to the nature of personal care, I am looking for a female assistant.
This job allows for plenty of free time to pursue your own interests, as you will be working an average of two days per week. Shifts are from 7:00 to 23:00. The schedule follows a 3-week rotation and is planned well in advance, taking both your and my preferences into account.
You will receive thorough training, so you don’t need previous experience in similar roles – the most important thing is that you are motivated and willing to learn. You’ll become part of a team of seven assistants who help cover for each other during sickness and holidays. I’m looking for someone who wants to be part of my life for an extended period – ideally a couple of years – so we can build a strong and trusting relationship.
You don’t need to speak Danish to apply – I speak English and am happy to communicate in English day-to-day. So if you’re good at English and the job sounds interesting to you, I would love to hear from you! If you’re interested in learning Danish, this job is also a great opportunity to do so.
I love to travel and have family in Sønderborg and a boyfriend in Stockholm, so occasionally you will get to experience other places as part of the job. For this reason and others, you must have a driver’s license.
Preferably, you are a non-smoker.
If you want to know more about me, you can Google my name: Astrid Siemens Lorenzen.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send your CV and a motivated application – preferably with a photo – to bpa.astrid@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you! Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
